Current WITS Version: WITS Version 13.7.0 (May 2012)
Database Version: 13.22
We are pleased to announce the latest list of enhancements and functionality which have been added into WITS.
Home Page Alert Messaging
Home
Page Alerts allow an Agency/Facility administrator to manage upcoming
or scheduled work in WITS related to a client. Individual agencies can
customize a series of alerts based either on the Client Activities or
Agency Activities, using an Alert Builder, that will go to their
individual staff and prompt timely action on items that are due.
Contract Management
Contract
management capabilities allow you to review and monitor treatment
services that are offered by providers. This includes control over
service rates and costs all with a great deal of flexibility.
Payor Billing
The
Payor package is a flexible fund management billing system that allows
providers to issue claims to multiple Payers as well as state funding
sources.
Electronic Signature
Now progress notes and treatment plans can be signed electronically by staff.
GAIN Assessment
Thanks to collaboration with Chestnut Health, WITS now includes the GAIN assessment tool.
eCourt
The
eCourt module is for organizations that require a streamlined system
for managing clients that are in a Court driven substance abuse program.
The eCourt module contains a host of case management features with the
capability of interfacing with drug testing laboratory systems.
Visit here for more information about eCourt features.
Drug Testing
WITS
now features full drug testing tracking capabilities, including
scheduling, chain of custody, and integration with testing hardware and
results systems.
Prevention
The
Prevention module allows collecting individual-based and
population-based programs and strategies data for National Outcomes
Measures (NOMs) reporting as well as Block Grant applications. The
contractor (funding agency) is able to authorize and monitor providers'
curriculum and/or coalition strategies real time.
Gambling
WITS
Gambling package offers the essential screening tools and assessment
for collecting demographics and administering gambling treatment
services efficiently and effectively.
Cost Reimbursement
Not
all contracts are paid via a fee for service model. Some are based on
actual costs, e.g., salaries, rent, etc, incurred by the provider and
may be paid according to an agreed upon budget with the contractor
(funding agency). The Cost Reimbursement contract model allows for the
capture of a line item budget that a provider may invoice the contractor
for. The provider creates an invoice (claim) based on the line items
indicated in the contract, submits it to the contractor (provider claim
submission) for acceptance/rejection, and the contractor adjudicates the
invoice at a line item level. The contractor may require agencies to
track encounters and claim items for the purposes of calculating the fee
for service equivalent charges for services provided, even though the
provider is paid based upon a pre-established budget.
Dispensary
To
track all inventory of medications, to track medication orders made by
physicians or other staff in the Regions, and to track the outflow of
inventory as used by clients, or as adjusted for a variety of reasons.
You can also order medications. The ability to associate a generic drug
with more than one brand name drug. Print labels. This module will allow
these specific activities:
•
Authorized prescribing physicians/staff may choose regularly stocked
medicines and order/prescribe them for patients (regardless of current
inventory status)
• Once an order has been written, Dispensary staff
may access all unfilled patient orders (outside of the context of any
particular client)
• Orders may be filled from one or more inventory
“buckets”, or staff may indicate vouchers have been given for
medications not in inventory.
• Facility drug inventory will be
tracked and dispensed according to source (stock vs. patient
assistance). Patient Assistance meds will only be dispensed to a
particular patient.
• In addition, staff may search previously filled
orders, add to inventory, and adjust inventory, including indicating
that quantities were transferred to other facilities.
Vendor Management
The
ability to create a vendor, which may be associated with certain
treatment domains, geographic regions, and service offerings. Vendors
are entities which will not use WITS and do not need the setup of an
agency and all associated contract management information, but are
entities for which the WITS agency or managing entity would like to
document a relationship. In some cases, these vendors may be providing
services to clients on a contract basis, where the agency within WITS is
providing case management and oversight services.
State Wide Wait List
The
purpose of this module is to provide a way for providers across the
state to view a modality-based waiting list for multiple facilities
before making a determination about where to send a client. A client may
be added to a waitlist without an intake. This will provide a search by
modality and area as well as other key factors regarding the program
(age or gender specific information). The referring clinician should
have the ability to select a location from the waiting list or add the
client to the waiting list if no space is available at the time of
referral. The system will automatically notify providers to contact the
next client on the waiting list when space becomes available.
As a reminder, all the new enhancements featured above are available to all WUG members without any additional development costs. For more information about the latest features and/or an implementation estimate, contact your FEi representative today.
